What you will be doing in this role:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Tax Manager will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure tax compliance of all BSR Group entities and provide assistance on tax strategy for the group.

This role is a technical role which includes tax accounting and compliance for all group entities and will be exposed to the operational side of the business. The Tax Manager will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to manage and oversee all tax areas, providing support to both internal and external stakeholders.

What we need from you:

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including corporation tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the group's tax position, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Provide support on tax elements of financial modelling.
  • Identify and assess potential tax risks, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate such risks.
  • Lead on Transfer Pricing and CCO compliance, ensuring appropriate controls and monitoring are in place.
  • Provide strategic tax advice when required, offering insights on the tax implications of different scenarios such as M&A.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate tax-efficient strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external parties.
  • Prepare and review tax-related disclosures in respect of statutory reporting.
  • Offer training and support to finance and other departments, building an understanding of tax implications and compliance requirements.

Skill requirement:

  • International tax exposure – Australia specifically would be advantageous but not essential.
