This solar park was the first to be developed with the British MOD, situated on the site of a former runway that forms part of the RAF Lyneham base.

Bradenstoke spans over 250 acres of the former RAF base at Lyneham, 269,000 solar panels, 69.8MWp, providing enough energy to power 10,000 homes plus the base.

At the time of its completion the site was comfortably the largest in the UK at just under 70 MW DC. The site used an innovative approach to commissioning by connecting initially into a private supply while the lengthy 12 km grid connection route was under construction.
