BATCHELOR’S TWO SOLAR PROJECTS
Batchelor Solar Farm and Batchelor Solar Farm Co are located approximately 1km East of Batchelor, Northern Territory, Australia. The solar farms are connected via the 22kV distribution network to the Batchelor 132/22kV Zone substation via underground cables. Both solar farms utilise highly accurate forecasting to predict each plant’s variation in output due to changes in irradiance in order to control the PV inverter’s export to provide clean electricity while supporting system security.
Batchelor Solar Farm
Batchelor One Solar Farm has 28,756 of photovoltaic (PV) modules installed that are each 435W, creating a DC capacity of 12.5MWp. The solar farm has a 10MW AC export limit to the network and is divided into two blocks, avoiding important green zones and cattle grazing areas.

Community & Culture
BSR actively commits to engaging with each local community it works within. Landowners, neighbours, community groups, environmental groups and local businesses are consulted with to ensure the Batchelor Solar Farms are valued projects that operate responsibly andsustainably. The Batchelor Solar Farms have created local job opportunities and developed industry skills that support small business and the regional economy. BSR supports local businesses and suppliers wherever possible. The cultural heritage of the Batchelor Region is of utmost importance and has continued to be a respected priority in minimising environmental impacts from construction through to operations. These clean energy developments with no air emissions, no waste, minimal carbon footprint and water use is on the doorstep to the spectacular Litchfield National Park.
