HR Support (Mat Leave Cover - 1 year FTC)
Are you an HR professional looking for a new role? British Solar Renewables are seeking an organised, motivated individual to join our HR and Recruitment team on a 12-14 month fixed term contract. We are open to speaking to candidates with different levels of experience meaning previous experience in HR is not essential but would be beneficial. We are also open to speaking to candidates wanting to work reduced hours.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting our HR Officer with the day to day running of the HR department across our two UK offices and site-based employees. This role will be based from our head office in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. The role will be focused on organising company training requirements, assisting our Internal Recruiter and maintaining HR records. We are looking for a candidate who is good at multi-tasking, has excellent attention to detail and can use their own initiative. This role involves working in partnership with all business areas to support their HR and training requirements.

What we need from you:
- Maintaining personnel records
- Assisting the Internal Recruiter where necessary with issuing of offer letters and contracts, carrying out right to work checks and references prior to employee start date
- Issuing contract change paperwork
- Supporting the new starter process, inductions and leaver process
- Carrying out DSE Assessments for all new starters
- Assist with monthly reporting
- Supporting the HR Officer with ad hoc projects
- Providing accurate monthly payroll information
- Disposing of personal information in line with HR retention period
- Maintain company organograms
- Supporting BSR’s Internal Recruiter when required with managing incoming job applications, reviewing CVs and giving candidate feedback
- Being the first point of contact for all training queries and ensuring
- Booking training courses, preparing registration paperwork and maintaining accurate records of all bookings
- Update training records for employees
What experience will you have?
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is beneficial but not essential
- Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
Skills and requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills, able to deliver solutions
- Ability to multi-task whilst meeting deadlines
