What you will be doing in this role:
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Communications and Engagement Officer will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies to enhance the organisation's visibility, stakeholder engagement, and public relations. This role requires a proactive and creative individual who can effectively communicate our mission, values, and initiatives to diverse audiences.
What we need from you:
- Ownership of the company’s stakeholder engagement strategy and marketing platforms
- Management of the company and CEO social media accounts and creation of relevant regular and scheduled multimedia content for platforms including Facebook and LinkedIn
- Produce a broad range of written communications to the highest standard; using expertise and experience to identify the right channels and styles for specific audiences
- Ownership of company website to ensure the contents remains up to date and current. Ensure all project specific web domains, even when externally managed are in line with the BSR corporate online feel and identity.
- Coordinate press enquiries and create and manage content for press releases
- Oversee and develop communications and engagement plans for specific projects/activities and manage their effective implementation
- Deliver local community activities
- Utilise PR across the company, including project PR and across business operations
- Establish a voice for the organisation and manage how it is utilised throughout the company
- Work alongside the HR and Recruitment teams to market BSR’s culture to potential employees and coordinate careers events
- Maintain and grow relationships with local schools and university’s
- Build and maintain excellent contacts and relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Work with the development team to engage with the local communities and establish continuity among public consultations
- Assist in furthering BSR’s brand presence and reputation
- Coordinate the attendance of industry events across the company
- Oversee the design and production of marketing materials
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels
- Stay up to date with local community events and charities that BSR could be involved with. Coordinate and promote BSR’s involvement
What experience will you have?
- Degree (or equivalent) qualified and experience in engagement/communications and/or public relations
- Experience in a similar role
- Full driving licence essential
Skill requirement:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong reporting skills
- Presentation skills
- Creativity and commercial awareness
- Knowledge of engagement techniques
- Experience with social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
- Ability to work independently
