About this project

Swindon Solar Park is one of the UK’s landmark solar energy projects, developed by British Solar Renewables (BSR) in partnership with We-Link Energy. It’s built on land owned by the British Science Museum Group at the former RAF Wroughton airfield in Wiltshire.

Delivering clean, reliable power to HSBC UK under a long-term 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the site generates 60.9MWp of renewable energy, enough to power the bank’s London headquarters in Canary Wharf.

This project serves as a prime example of how corporate partnerships and renewable power generation can work in tandem to support the UK’s energy transition, delivering both cost stability and carbon reduction.

As one of the UK’s leading independent power producers, we take pride in delivering complex projects like Swindon Solar Park, always with safety, quality, and environmental care at heart.
