Title:                        Finance Co-ordinator

Reports to:           Finance Manager

Salary band:         £20-25,000 plus study package (AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

About the Team: Renewable Energy Connections Ltd (REC) is a NERS accredited independent connections provider (ICP), providing all aspect of High Voltage services including contestable grid connection works from 11kV up to 132kV. The company’s objective is to deliver safe, robust and cost-effective connection solutions for all customers. Working closely with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and third party clients enables REC to design, implement and energise projects. This includes work by REC Electrical Engineers on all aspects of the grid connection process, including feasibility, development and construction. REC is a subsidiary of the British Solar Renewables Group of companies and as such works closely with other companies within the group including its EPC and Operation and Maintenance divisions.

Role Summary:                    The Finance Coordinator is required to provide administrative support to the Renewable Energy Connections (REC) team and financial support to the Finance Manager maintaining the integrity of financial processing, regulatory requirements and analytical support with interrogation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative tasks

  • Supporting the team with all administration including document control and filing;
  • Procurement – arranging supplier account applications, quotes and raising purchase orders on Sage;
  • Arranging supplier contracts – liaising with suppliers, team members and in-house legal team;
  • Stock Control – Internal stock movements;
  • Operation and Maintenance contract administration – arranging visits, collating time sheets and invoicing details;
  • Co-ordination of Project Management – Microsoft Project Programming;
  • SAP diary management and administration duties to support the REC team as required.

Finance Tasks

 

  • Timely production of internal financial reports;
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained;
  • Managing weekly expenses payments ensuring they comply with company policy;
  • Bank reconciliation including posting of payments and receipts;
  • Providing information where necessary to the Finance Manager;
  • Assisting with cash management and treasury including banking duties such as the management of payments and supplier payment runs;
  • Liaising with suppliers for escalated calls;
  • Preparation of weekly supplier payments list by company;
  • Reconcile supplier statements;
  • Reconciliation and correction of various balance sheet accounts as determined by the Finance Manager;
  • Maintenance of financial ledgers (general ledger and purchase ledger) and accounting processes for all companies;
  • Processing of supplier invoices;
  • Support the Finance Manager in the financial control and management of Renewable Energy Connections Limited.

Experience: A newly qualified AAT. However, this role is also suitable for persons qualified by experience who demonstrate the key skills and experience required for this role.

Job Description:       Technical Operations Manager

Line Manager:          Managing Director

Our focus is bringing the benefits of energy storage to distributed commercial and industrial users and supporting the network at the LV level. Our solution will bring cost savings, environmental benefits to our hosts and valuable support to national infrastructure.

Omnio is a subsidiary of the BSR Group, providing us with a robust platform from which to execute our ambitious mission statement.

Requirement:

We are looking for a highly motivated, results and solution orientated manager to design, implement, manage and grow all technical aspects of our operation. Working with the support of the wider BSR group platform of technical experts, the Technical Operations Manager be responsible for providing direct technical expertise into system and process design, as well as overseeing other technical areas such as system integration and installations.

Specific tasks are not limited to:

  • Specification of modular Energy Storage Solution (ESS) for Omnio business model;
  • Management of ESS supply partner and negotiation of technical terms;
  • Implementation of efficient and diligent pre-install survey & site selection process;
  • Implementation of efficient and customer friendly install process, including site commissioning;
  • Selection, monitoring and management of installation team;
  • Design and implementation of communications protocol between ESS, aggregator, Omnio and host business;
  • System and process integration with third party aggregator;
  • Creation of site and portfolio monitoring system & process;
  • Technical input to business development process as required;
  • Establishment and oversight of requisite technical standards, including H&S.

Technical, professional and educational background:

  • Electrical engineering, with or working towards chartered professional status;
  • Experience in managing B2B energy solutions;
  • NICEIC certification: not essential but would be viewed very positively;
  • Experience in or detailed knowledge of energy storage technology and markets;
  • Experience in business / solution design highly desirable;
  • Practical experience of monitoring / communications systems and device / information systems integration;
  • IT literate.

Job Description:                                   Business Development Manager

Requirement:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results orientated Business Development Professional to design, lead and implement our sales, onboarding and customer relations functions. With a highly desirable proposition to offer potential customers the role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, will focus on efficient customer acquisition to maximise market share.

Responsibilities are not limited to:

  • Delivering sales;
  • Market segregation and target identification;
  • Design and development of full life sales and onboarding process;
  • Design and development of customer relation function;
  • Working with management and technical departments to create efficiencies in project delivery;
  • Promoting Omnio within industry among prospects, intermediaries, press and public;
  • Maintaining record of customer and prospect activity and providing reporting to management;
  • Working with management to help define and develop marketing and PR strategy.

Technical, professional and educational background:

  • Demonstrable track record in sales;
  • Knowledge of electricity supply / energy management / on site generation fields preferred, but not essential;
  • Experience in interfacing with senior management stakeholders at blue-chip organisations;
  • Experience from organisation with well-defined sales, onboarding and customer relation function;
  • Some understanding of financial principles.
