Berden Hall Solar Park

A new solar project shaped for Uttlesford’s landscape

Berden Hall Solar Park is a consented solar development at Berden Hall Farm, near Ginns Road in Essex. It has been developed with a clear purpose: to deliver clean energy for the Uttlesford area while strengthening the landscape it sits within.

Planning consent was granted in July 2024, and British Solar Renewables completed acquisition of the site in 2026. The project is now progressing through the next stage of development, with planning conditions under review ahead of construction

Progressing the project

Since acquiring the site, our focus has been on moving the project forward in a considered way. Current work centres on discharging planning conditions and refining the details that will guide construction and long‑term management. We will continue to share updates as the project reaches key milestones.

Working with and for communities

The benefits of the project extend beyond energy generation, with new spaces designed to sit naturally within the local area. Plans include a community woodland and a new footpath along the northern boundary, improving access to green space and creating opportunities for people to connect with the site.

Wider community benefit arrangements are currently under review and will be confirmed as the project moves forward.
