About this project

Zonnepark Koudekerke is a 3.6MW solar park located near the village of Koudekerke in the province of Zeeland.

The project produces enough clean electricity to power around 1,000 households each year, generating 3,420MWh of renewable energy and avoiding approximately 797 tonnes of COâ‚‚ emissions annually.

Zonnepark Koudekerke offers members of the Koudekerke/Dishoek Energy Neutral Cooperative the opportunity to invest directly in the solar park, keeping value and benefits within the local area.

A community-powered project

Working with and for communities

Biodiversity and nature protection

Protecting and enhancing nature is central to how we deliver renewable energy. We are committed to leaving each site in better ecological condition than we found it.

Throughout the planning and construction of the Zonnepark Koudekerke, we took care to minimise the environmental impact and ensuring responsible site management.

Across the site:

  • Native vegetation and ground cover have been maintained to support soil health and local biodiversity.
  • Weather sensors and advanced monitoring systems help balance electricity generation with environmental stability.
  • Protective measures were implemented to preserve surrounding ecosystems and maintain the site’s natural integrity.
