What you will be doing in this role:

Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role involves providing legal advice and support to all areas of the business (with particular focus on commercial contracts, including construction contracts and operation and maintenance contracts), and undertaking other legal tasks as directed by the Head of Legal.

Construction

• Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and assembling:
• Engineer, Procure and Construct contracts together with Collateral Warranties and Specification.
  
• Minor Works Design and Design and Build Contracts together with Collateral Warranties.
• Appointments of Employer and Contractor appointed Consultants together with Collateral Warranties.
• Instruct, liaise with, and manage external lawyers where required.
  

Supply Contracts

• Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and assembling supply contracts and framework agreements with key equipment suppliers.
• Reviewing, reporting on, and obtaining product warranties.
• Dealing with supplier issues, including variations to contracts, quality issues etc.
• Instruct, liaise with, and manage external lawyers where required.

Operation & Maintenance

• Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and assembling:
• Operation and maintenance Contracts.
• Operation and Maintenance Sub-Contracts.
• Instruct, liaise with, and manage external lawyers where required.
  

M&A

• Assisting with the delivery of legal/commercial projects within the group, including M&A, sales, and funding.
• Assisting with the co-ordination of all due diligence processes.
• Assisting with Q&A.
• Assisting with Disclosure.

General/Other

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing:
• Deeds of Assignment, Novation and Variation.
  
• Letters of Intent.
• Non-Disclosure Agreements.
• Terms & Conditions.
• Power Purchase Agreements.
• Ad hoc Agreements and Miscellaneous Contracts.
• Providing corporate support where required including drafting board notes and board minutes.
  
• Drafting and maintaining precedent contracts and agreements.
• Liaising with external lawyers and internal teams.
• Provide ad hoc support on the interpretation and practical implementation of EPC and O&M Contracts.
• Assisting and supporting the Head of Legal with legal compliance and risk management.

What we need from you:

• UK Qualified Solicitor
• Experience managing an ever-changing workload in an exciting, agile, fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in the renewable energy sector is desirable.
• In-house legal team experience is desirable.

Skill requirement:

• Highly organised, proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Commercially aware, and customer focussed.
