BSR Energy is looking to develop North Dairy Solar Park. This permitted project will generate approximately 49.99MWp of solar photovoltaic energy to the electricity network.

This is equivalent to the annual electrical needs of approx. 13,000 family homes. The anticipated CO2 displacement is around 13,000 tonnes per annum. This is equivalent to removing 5,841 conventional cars from the road each year.

We are undertaking extensive preliminary assessments including ecology, flood risk and land and visual assessments to minimise the environmental impact of the solar park layout on the site and surrounding area as far as possible.

The solar park will feature the latest technology from the industry, with a primary focus to maximise the yield over the given area.

The Proposed Development includes the creation of a new habitat on Site i.e. wildflower rich grassland and native hedgerow planting, and the creation of meadow grassland beneath and between the solar panels. The LEMP also allows for the enhancement of retained features such as hedgerows, grassland margins and the pond through positive management. These measures will deliver a 54.39% net gain in Habitat Units and a 13.08% net gain in Hedgerow Units.”
