The project will support the local energy cooperative Energieneutraal Koudekerke / Dishoek’s vision of creating a carbon neutral village by 2030. The park, comprising of approximately 10,000 panels, will be built by BSR EPC on a brown-field site, which was used for landfill until the mid-1980s. The Katherine project was developed by a joint venture between Epuron, a leading Australian renewable energy specialist, and Island Green Power, a successful UK-based renewable energy developer. The project was recently acquired by Eni, the Italian Fortune Global 500 energy company. On the afternoon of 2nd November, alarms and cameras picked up several suspicious-looking people on the site of Overton solar park, a 3.7MW facility in Overton, Hampshire. BSR’s O&M team was alerted, and called the landowner and subcontractors, confirming that they did not have any people on site.   BSR technicians suspected that the intruders were scoping out the park for a break-in.
